Mistplay: Is it a Mustplay?

Mistplay is actually the first app I tried to use as a way to earn extra cash and, oh boy, did I fall in love with it fall and hard. It was so simple and easy too use! I was earning so much so fast, within a week I had gotten $50 worth of points to redeem which I did immediately and had readied myself to earn even more. Fast forward a month, actually make that two months, and finally I earn my second $50…wait. The first week I earn $50 and it takes me two months to earn the same? What happened, I thought to myself. You see I was very new to these types of apps and hadn’t realized how they hook you in with that easy first withdraw to dupe you into coming back for more. Though, I’ve encountered far worse than this since I began this hobby, and honestly I can’t complain too much about this app, it’s just how this app operates to really make you work for it.

With Mistplay you earn “units” which can be converted into cash and, unlike most apps I’ve used, these are earned passively from time spent on games and “leveling up” your game. The conversion is dependent on the gift card reward but for the most part is roughly 300 units is equal to $1. The more you play, the higher the level, and the more you earn, simple, right? Well, the first few levels are easy to get for games, but eventually going from level 10 to 11 can feel like it’s taking forever. And what if you aren’t really enjoying the game? Is it worth it to stick with it? Well, for me, it eventually became too much of a slog to stick with long-term. And yet…I can’t bring my self to delete the apps or my most played games from my phone, because I genuinely did find some really fun games to play. I guess I can’t say I got addicted to those games, but I would like to go back and play them once I find the free time to do so, when this project isn’t taking up as much of my time.

Unfortunately, I didn’t find a lot of Mistplays catalog appealing, save about 2 or 3 games. On the bright side, though, Mistplay games do not have a time limit for earning that you are beholden to like so many other apps. I suppose it is also worth mentioning that if you buy anything in game, Mistplay will reward you with “gems”, which can then be used to purchase more units. However, if you have an addictive personality especially with phone games I would advise staying away from this app altogether as this may encourage poor financial decisions at best and gambling addictions at worst. Mistplay offers a wide variety of gift cards to withdraw your winnings, but does not have direct deposit available, if that’s your preference. The minimum for a withdraw is $5 and for a first withdraw you must take a selfie to verify your age and existence. I would have to rate Mistplay a 3/5 , I think it’s a pretty decent app, but if you’re looking for something to earn a steady amount from this one might not be worth the time.

This is of course just my experience with Mistplay, so I encourage you to give it a try yourself! Thank you for reading, I hope you’ve found this review helpful! If you want to support me and what I do using my affiliate link to try out the app is a great way to do it!
